A little list of Christmas books

By Suzanne Gougherty |

Here are two quick and easy stories to enjoy as the Christmas Season approaches.

Skipping ChristmasWe all know John Grisham writes novels based on crime and the law, well not this short story. The title says it all, and it seems perfect for the 2020 holiday season. No crowded malls, no last-minute shopping, no cooking for a big crowd, and no office parties, let's skip it all!

Well, that's what the Krank's decided, but it slowly fell apart for them. A quick read and hopefully will provide a laugh or two.

The Polar Express - A must-read holiday story for adults and children. A little unknown fact, this book is based on Chris Van Allsburg's hometown, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and a train engine he played on as a child.

A perfect story to recite for parents and their children with beautiful illustrations by Allsburg as well. Simply a magical story for the holiday season and a classic to be passed to the next generation.
