EGUSD Trustee Sean Yang receives appointment from Gov. Newsom

Sean Yang, who was recently elected to the Elk Grove Unified School District Board of Trustees to the Area 3 seat has been nominated for a state board seat by Calif. Governor Gavin Newsom.
In the nomination announced yesterday, Yang, 42, has been appointed to the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board. In addition to his Trustee position, Yang in employed as a medical imaging specialist engineer at Kaiser Permanente.
Additionally, Yang, a Democrat, is and a member of the Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs Association. This position requires Senate confirmation and the compensation is $250 per diem.
