During the Tuesday, December 14, 2021, meeting of the Elk Grove Unified School District Trustees, two parents continued advocacy for their daughter.
The parents, Charles and Heather Washington of Elk Grove have asserted their 12-year middle school daughter was targeted and harassed by school administrators largely based on her race. The harassment happened earlier this school year at the Katherine Albiani Middle School in Elk Grove.
The Washington's made their remarks during the public comment portion of Tuesday's meeting. By law, trustees cannot directly address items not on the meeting agenda.
