Celebrate Asian American Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander Heritage Month in May! 

(Elk Grove, CA) – The inaugural Asian Pacific CultureFest is a free, inclusive, and family-friendly event coming to the Sacramento Asian Sports Foundation on May 7, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and kicks off nationwide celebrations of Asian American Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander Heritage Month during the month of May.

Shop at more than 80 local Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) small businesses, explore the pop-up visual art gallery, and enjoy a variety of delectable Asian street foods and beer tastings.


Emceed include Jordan Segundo (Good Day/CBS13), Darren Suen (City of Elk Grove, Vice Mayor and Councilmember District 1), and Angie Tran (2022 Mrs. Vietnam Sacramento), with live-stream hosts Shaline DeGuzman, Christina Marie, Hannah Nguyen.


Cultural performances from across the region include Aradhana Arts, Future Lao Generation, Makamae O Melia Polynesian, Morodok Khmer Performing Arts, Mrs Vietnam Sacramento, Nkauj Pag Seev from M. Swans Dance Institute, Sacramento Taiko Dan, Sinag-tala Filipino Theater and Performing Arts Association.

Featured artists in a pop-up art gallery sponsored by A Space In Between and Sparrow Gallery include Joyce Cocker, Lin Fei Fei, Franceska Gamez, Okina Kosono, Dan Ligaya, Bob Matsumoto, Jackie Wada, Sandy Whetstone, and others.


Asian Pacific CultureFest serves to celebrate and uplift the diversity of AAPI arts, culture, heritage, and contributions throughout the Sacramento region.


This event will be livestreamed on multiple platforms in partnership with ACC Senior Services and Access Sacramento.
