While both Democrats, Jones and Ashby, represent different factions of their party. Ashby is viewed as a pro-business moderate, while Jones has more progressive stances with a particular focus on environmental issues.
Those differences were part of the acrimonious campaign during the primary and are expected to continue through the November election. Ashby's supporters have portrayed Jones as a bobblehead career politician, while Jones has painted Ashby as a pawn of big oil companies that have supported her through independent expenditure attack advertisements.
Since election day, Ashby has not posted any election updates on her social media platforms. Updated vote tallies will be released this Friday.
