District 4 Elk Grove City Council candidate receives contributions from waste recycler, State Senate candidate

One of the candidates seeking to replace Stephanie Nguyen on the Elk Grove City Council recently captured significant donations.

Elk Grove Planning Commissioner and Elk Grove City Council District 4 candidate Sergio Robles has received $8,900 from four supporters. Of note, Robles received $1,000 from State Senate District 8 candidate Angelique Ashby and $4,900 from River City Waste Recyclers.
  • Michelle Smira, MMS Strategies - $1,000
  • Angelique Ashby for City Council 2022 - $1,000
  • Sacramento Young Democrats - $2,000
  • River City Waste Recyclers (Bryan Wilson) - $4,900
Robles, who first declared his candidacy for District 2 before jumping districts, is facing Giezi Bermudez. Nguyen, who was first appointed to the seat in 2017 and elected to a full term in 2018, is running for the California State Assembly District 10 seat.

By all appearance Mr. Robles seems like a decent person even though he is already following the Madame Mayor around like a puppy with his tail between his legs.

Regardless, it is worth pondering if he knows any of the background of Mr. Bryan Wilson and with his onetime partner, Mr. Gyan Kalwani. Everyone deserves a second chance, even this combo.
