The City of Elk Grove's sandbag distribution is open today in anticipation of continued rains.
With the break of levees and area flooding, the city corporation yard at 10250 Iron Rock Way will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is a self-serve city, and users will need their own shovel and proof of residency.
Residents can receive up to 10 sandbags. If more sandbags are needed, the city is advising residents to purchase them at local home improvement stores
