City Councilmember Darren Suen gears up for 2024 campaign, activates fundraising



With his 2024 reelection campaign in the not-too-distant future, Elk Grove District 1 City Councilmember Darren Suen was actively fundraising during the first six months of 223.

According to financial disclosure reports filed with the Elk Grove City Clerk, Suen reported campaign contributions of $31,838 for June 30, 2023. 

Among Suen's significant contributions were the following:
  • Mary Yin Liu, McDonald's franchise owner - $1,000
  • International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers - $5.500
  • Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 447 - $4,900
  • Portfolio Real Estate - $4,900
  • Professional Engineers in California - $1,000
  • Sacramento Area Firefighters Local 104 - $5,500
  • Khanh H. Van, realtor Keller Williams - $2,500
Along with his previous funds, Suen ended the period with $123,979. Suen reported expenses of $4,556 which included unpaid bills of $357.
