City Councilmember Sergio Robles' DUI arrest arraignment continued for one month

The arraignment of an Elk Grove City Council member arrested on drunk driving charges has been continued.

District 4 City Councilmember Sergio Robles' arraignment on August 10 in Sacramento Superior Court Department 2 was continued. According to information posted on the court criminal database, the next court appearance for the freshman city council member is on September 21 in Department 2.

Elk Grove Police arrested Robles on suspicion of drunk driving in the early morning of Saturday, May 27. Police officers reportedly located Robles passed out in a running vehicle at the Raley's shopping center on Elk Grove and Franklin boulevards.

Before his drunk driving arrest, Robles was frequently featured in social media pictures and videos consuming alcohol. A video posted on Instagram (see below) hours before his arrest showed him in what appeared to be a state of intoxication.

Since the arrest, Robles has curtailed his social media post displaying alcohol use.
