Rancho Cordova city council blasted for disrespecting speakers, lack of preparation; one council member called 'wishy washy' - VIDEO

This speaker told the Rancho Cordova City Council they are disrespectful to public comment speakers. |

The Rancho Cordova City Council heard criticism of their unprofessional behavior on the dais during their October 2, 2023 meeting.

Rancho Cordova resident Jennifer Garcia made several observations during her three-minute public comment. Among Garcia's criticisms were disrespecting public speakers, lack of preparation, and indecisiveness by one city council member.

"I've noticed lately there seems to be a lot of little sidebar conversation with the council members going on with the council members, "Garcia told the city council. She added that the public gets only three minutes and should listen to the comments rather than chat among themselves.

Additionally, Ms. Garcia called one city council member, Suri Pulipati, wishy-washy and instructed them on Zoom meeting etiquette.

The entire commentary can be viewed in the video.

Kudos to Ms. Garcia for making constructive comments/criticisms! Strangely, I almost forgot she was talking about CORC council members and not COEG council members. Much of what she said also applies to Elk Grove city council and school board members. I hope they took her comments to heart.

I see apathy and ignorance aren’t limited to Elk Grove. Not sure if that’s reassuring or not.

Local control, in reality , is control by a few locals.
