Friday night reckless driving, racing crackdown by Elk Grove Police leads to several arrests

A Friday, February 16, evening enforcement by Elk Grove Police led to the arrest of several suspects and the impound of several vehicles.
Officers from the EGPD and additional officers were deployed to crack down on reckless driving. Complaints about hazardous driving have come from almost every Elk Grove neighborhood, especially in warmer months.
During the Friday night enforcement, police made 80 vehicle stops, issued 50 citations, towed 8 vehicles, and made some arrests. There were three suspects arrested for reckless driving and one for driving under the influence.
