Fueled by developers & business interests cash, Elk Grove City Councilmember Darren Suen prepares for reelection



As he prepares for the November election, Elk Grove District 1 City Councilmember Darren Suen tapped developers and businesses to fund his 2024 campaign.

According to a financial disclosure recorded with the Elk Grove City Clerk's office, Suen reported $29,905 in contributions. Suen reported those donations on his California Form 460.

The $29,905 in donations were all from real estate developers and business interests for six months ending December 31, 2023. The contributors included the following:
  • Elk Grove Land Investments LLC (John Reynen) - $2,400
  • Rober Isackson, Village Properties - $4,900
  • Louie J. Pappas, Pappas Investments - $4,900
  • Voula Pappas, Pappas Investments - $4,900
  • PG&E - $3,000
  • River City Waste (Republic Services) - $4,900
With these contributions and his previous balance, after expenses, Suen has $96,340 for his 2024 campaign. To date, Suen does not have any declared opponents.
