Sacramento Superior Court Judge issues 100 year sentence for man convicted of forcible lewd acts on child

A sentencing hearing today held by Sacramento Superior Court Judge Delbert Oros resulted in a 100 sentence for a man convicted of lewd acts on a child

On November 15, 2023, a jury convicted Nazra Dance Bertelli on 10 counts of forcible lewd acts upon a child. Aggravating factors were also found true.

Prosecutors showed Bertelli sexually, physically and emotionally abused a 3-year-old child starting in 2011. The abuse continued for years until the victim disclosed the abuse to a friend.

That friend told her mother, who notified law enforcement. Sheriff’s detectives found evidence on Bertelli’s phone including searches for pornography and photos depicting sexualized images of teen and pre-teen girls. During trial, witnesses testified to Bertelli’s past sexual conduct.
