Make your voice heard - Take the annual survey sent by Mayor Singh-Allen to only select Elk Grove residents
Surveys and polling are normal ways for entities of all types to inform their decision-making. This is particularly true for politicians.
Thanks to an Elk Grove News reader, residents can respond to survey requests that only a select group of residents were invited to participate in. The survey is the city's annual Elk Grove Community Survey.
Those who did not receive the city of Elk Grove's postcard seen above sent by Elk Grove Mayor Bobbie Singh-Allen can take the survey at this address:
The survey can be taken without registration, although participants are invited to do so for follow-up communications.
The comprehensive survey includes questions about topics like homelessness, government services, public safety, traffic, shopping, and community engagement. However, there were no specific questions about the city's specific endeavors, such as its massive $300 million Sacramento Zoo relocation project.
Interestingly, as seen in the image below, the survey also includes questions that the mayor and her four city councilmen could use for political purposes.

“Sent by Mayor Singh-Allen to only select EG residents?” Wow, that’s how you get honest, informative and inclusive feedback on what the public really thinks about the city, its direction and the needs for today and the future. The entire poll is biased and therefore useless to those who really want to find out what the citizens think. Can’t say I’m surprised.
And those of us who weren't selected are paying for this survey. Unlike Mayor BSA's admonishment in bold not to share the link, I hope this link is shared far and wide. What we have here is Mayor BSA's selective democracy. Kind of tyrannical, in in my opinion.
Are there any questions about why us taxpayers are paying for City employees 40lK match when they are already covered under a state pension plan? Are there any questions about why city employees are still enjoying work from home benefits while the private sector is calling their employees back to the office? Are there any questions about whether the rampant Police Department use overtime pay has been curtailed after the massive hiring binge? Are there any questions about why it seems all Council agenda items appear to be foregone 5-0 approvals? And are we limited to three minutes when filling out the survey?
Are there any questions about Sergio sneakers? That frat boy needs to put on his big boy pants and grow up! If he wants to be taken seriously, dress accordingly. Oh, and get someone to iron your shirts!
Yes, the admonishment in BOLD not to share the link, indicates the Mayor only wants her special few to respond to the survey. That's like Hitler asking the Gestapo whether he should attack other European countries and spread their superior Arian race bs.
This survey should be open to ALL Elk Grove citizens, not just members of her secret police. That survey is not worth the time taken to put it together. It shows just how simple and shallow the mayor truly is.
English: My Struggle
German: Mein Kampf
Punjabi: ਮੇਰੀ ਲੜਾਈ
Where are all those Old Town Oak Rose MAGA supporters of the mayor? I guess they got what they wanted, so even they are abandoning her like rats jumping off a sinking ship.
The City has completed the National Community Survey seven times since 2009. There has always been a version sent to a random sample to generate a statistically valid sample group and an open survey for all community members. If you would like to participate in the open survey, you can find that available at this link:https://polco.us/n/res/vote/elk-grove-ca/the-city-of-elk-grove-2024-community-survey-open-to-all-residents?pn-method=open
Question for COEG Public Affairs: If the city and its leaders are serious about wanting to know what the people of Elk Grove really think, and more importantly, what we want, answer this: Why no question about the zoo?
The survey asks the participants to rate Elk Grove’s government performance of “Being honest.” Based on what the city has does here, are you being honest?
