Mayor Bobbie Singh-Allen, council members advised Elk Grove has 'buckshot' approach to economic development
Elk Grove Mayor Singh-Allen and the city council were advised of the poor performance of Darrel Doan, the city's economic development director. | |
On Wednesday, June 12, Elk Grove Mayor Bobbie Singh-Allen and her city council heard advice from a long-time city council observer and watchdog about the city's economic development department. The mayor heard the advice during their regular meeting's public comment on non-agenda items.
Elk Grove resident Lynn Wheat made the remarks. More specifically, Ms. Wheat focused on the city's economic development director, Darrell Doan, by citing a recent Elk Grove News story that, in turn, quoted a source.

Where did they find this doofus? Sent him back to the Tee Ball league.
Darrell Doan - Mr. Sloppy Seconds!
Unfortunately, the joke is on the Elk Grove taxpayers who are forced to pay Doan's lucrative salary. There is a pattern of paying outrageous salaries at the city of Elk Grove with no accountability whatsoever.
Nice gig if you can get it along with the chicken wings!
