The Elk Grove City Council conducted a lengthy presentation honoring retiring development services
manager Darren Wilson during their Wednesday, July 24, 2024 meeting. | 


On Wednesday, July 24, the Elk Grove City Council held its 13th meeting of 2024. It was also the first meeting of fiscal year 2025, which began on July 1.

The meeting lasted just minutes short of four hours. Among the highlights was the city's honoring of development services manager Darren Wilson, who is retiring. 

The city council also heard a presentation on a new electric bike voucher program funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, results of a quality of life survey, fleet electrification, and an update on the city's climate action plan. Mayor Bobbie Singh-Allen also nominated and her city council approved appointments to the historic preservation committee and the youth commission.
