Felony arrests warrants issued for suspect caught on video assaulting Elk Grove restaurant worker


Elk Grove Police are seeking the public's assistance to locate a suspect who was seen on surveillance assaulting an Elk Grove restaurant employee.

The suspect, identified as Hazel Shaver, 44, assaulted one employee at the Baskin Robbins/Togo's on Laguna Boulevard on July 16. In the incident, Shaver is seen chasing employees and assaulting one of them while throwing items on the floor. 
Shaver is wanted on multiple warrants on for for Battery causing bodily injury (Penal Code 243(d)), assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury (Penal Code 245(a)(4)), and vandalism (Penal Code 594(a)). Police say Shaver may be in the Sacramento area but also has ties to Modesto and the Central Valley.

 

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Hazel Shaver is asked to call our Investigations Bureau at (916) 478-8155 or Crime Stoppers at (916) 443-HELP (4357). Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.00. Tips can also be sent to EGPD via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on a cell phone, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message. 


Hazel Shaver is wanted by Elk Grove Police.
