Moore lines up prominent Republican endorsements for EGUSD Area 7 race

In the three-candidate race for the Elk Grove Unified School District Board of Trustee Area 7 seat, partisan endorsements are lining up for the candidates.

Of the three candidates for Area 7, challenger Heidi Moore has lined up several prominent Republican endorsements. Moore is one of two candidates challenging three-term incumbent Carmine Forcina.

On her social media posts, Moore has promoted endorsements from Rancho Cordova-based Republican California Assemblymember Joshua Hoover. First elected in 2022, Hoover beat incumbent Democratic Assemblymember Ken Cooley and is currently targeted by the California Democratic Party as a person who supports a California abortion ban.

Also lending support is Folsom City Councilmember Rosario Rodriguez, who was elected to the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors. Rodriguez is outgoing Sacramento County Supervisor Sue Frost, who has been pictured with Moore on social media posts but was not listed as an endorser.

A large portion of Area 7 of the EGUSD is in Rancho Cordova. Garrett Gatewood and Republican Mayor David Sanders are among Rancho Cordova city council members supporting Moore

Moore and Democratic candidate Rehana Rehman are challenging three-term Democratic incumbent Forcina.
