Underdog Elk Grove mayoral candidate Lynn Wheat complimented on 'Best political ad ever!'

Even though she does not have the financial resources of the incumbent, Elk Grove mayoral candidate Lynn Wheat has used social media platforms to produce several informative and fun videos about her campaign.



In her recent TikTok video, Wheat promised that if elected, she would not take the 300 percent pay raise the Elk Grove mayor and three of the four city council members recently granted themselves.

Ms. Wheat's brief video (see below) generated just under 1,000 views so far and several positive comments, including one that stated, "Best political ad ever!"

As part of her campaign platform, Wheat has advocated by enhanced fiscal responsibility and to focus on needs of people. As seen in this video, Wheat said the city should focus on the affordable housing over the proposed $300 million Elk Grove taxpayer-funded Sacramento Zoo.

With the close of voting for the November general election only two days away, as of November 2, only 32 percent of Elk Grove registered voters have submitted ballots. Even though incumbent Ms. Bobbie Singh-Allen is expected to be reelected, Wheat's efforts, along with the third candidate, Mr. Brian Pastor, could have Singh-Allen win with a plurality not a majority of votes.
