In the race for the two at-large seats for the Galt City Council, Tim Reed came in first place with 5,870 votes. The race for the second seat between Bonnie Rodriguez and Matthew Pratton ended with both candidates receiving 3,882 votes.

According to the Galt City Clerk's office, as California election law allows, the two candidates will meet tonight at the Galt City Hall and draw straws to determine the winner. The election will then be certified at the December 17 city council meeting.

The Sacramento County Voter Registration and Elections released the final countywide vote tally this afternoon. Every vote does indeed matter.
