Awesome Blossoms

Cherry blossoms are deeply rooted in cultural and seasonal significance, particularly in Japan, where they symbolize the fleeting nature of life due to their short blooming period. Join the Creative Space Market in celebrating this special springtime showing courtesy of mother nature during their market at the Old Town Plaza this Saturday, March 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free admission. Lots of family fun and shopping from local makers. Explore The Creative Space

Run with the Herd

One of the City’s largest run events will take place this Sunday, March 30. The 14th annual Kaiser Permanente Running of the Elk will start and finish at District56 (Civic Center Drive at Big Horn Blvd.). Race activities begin at 8:00 am. Proceeds from the event benefit the Elk Grove Youth Sports Foundation (EGYSF), an Elk Grove non-profit organization created to ensure that all Elk Grove children have an equal opportunity to be involved in sports.

Runners, joggers, and walkers on the roadways means street closures and detours will be in effect around District56 from 7:00 am to approximately 12:00 pm. Learn more
