Another fatality on Waterman Road in Elk Grove


For the second time in less than one week, there has been a fatality on Waterman Road in Elk Grove.

The Elk Grove Police Department reports that a single motorcycle was involved in a fatal accident on Waterman Road. The accident happened in the late evening hours of Saturday. May 17.

The preliminary investigation determined that the motorcyclist, a 42-year-old man, was heading northbound on Waterman Road south of Sheldon Road at 11:30 p.m., approaching the center median, when he lost control and hit the median.

 

The motorcyclist died at the scene. The Sacramento County Coroner's Office will make the identification of the deceased.

 

The cause of the collision is under investigation, and it is not known whether the victim was impaired.

On Tuesday, May 13, two people perished in a single-vehicle accident on Waterman Road in the same vicinity as this accident.

The traffic on Sheldon Road is horrible between Elk Grove-Florin and Waterman Roads. The speeding is non-stop with a speed limit of 40 MPH. If you go the speed limit, you are tail-gated, flipped off and more.

And now the plan is to put 500 homes at the roundabout. Are you kidding me?

EGPD could take up residence on Sheldon Road, and I would bet they could ticket over 100 speeding motorists a day!

How often do you see EGPD pull someone over for a traffic violation? Other than a handful of motorcycle patrols, Nada! Even the intersection red light cameras seem to have gone dormant!

I dont want to go against his families i dont know if they want to have his name released so I will not tell you his name but he was a coworker and my friend and he will be missed, my heart goes out to his family my he RIP
