Elk Grove Police investigating Monday morning shooting - 2 dead

UPDATED 11 a.m.

Just before 8 a.m. today, the Elk Grove Police Department reported on social media that detectives are investigating an early morning shooting. There are reportedly two dead at a residence on the 8200 block of Triplefin Way.

This is a developing story.

Update: Two other family members were present at the home during the incident. One of them left before the officers arrived. That individual has since been located and both family members are currently being interviewed by our investigators.

Shooting Investigation

We are investigating a shooting that took place around 5:40 this morning inside a house in the 8200 block of Triplefin Way.

Two people were found dead on scene. Circumstances leading up to the shooting are unknown at this time.
