One year from now, District 4 Councilmember Sergio Robles will be campaigning for a second four-year term on the Elk Grove City Council. To fund that campaign, during the first six months of 2025, Mr. Robles has activated his fundraising machine.
According to information disclosed on his California Form 460 for the six months ending June 30, 2025, Robles added $10,118 to his coffers.
Among the significant contributions are the following:
- Angelo K. Tsakopoulos and affiliated companies - $5,900
- Committee for Home Ownership, North State Building Industry - $1,000 ($2,000 cumulative for election cycle)
- Mikey Hothi for Lodi (Calif.) City Council - $499
- Sacramento Are Firefighters Local 522 - $400 ($5,900 cumulative for election cycle)
- Angelo K. Tsakopoulos - $249 ($498 cumulative for election cycle)
As noted with donations to Elk Grove City Councilmember Darren Suen, Mr. Robles received a slightly larger donation from Mikey Hothi, a representative of the developers of the controversial Summer Villas housing project. The project seeks approval to construct over 400 single-family dwellings in the city's designated rural area.
After political expenses, Robles has $7,342 in his fund.

When our esteemed Mayor moves on to greener pastures, I can think of three Councilmembers who will be duking it out to be our next Mayor. The battle will have so much mudslinging, it's gonna look like hot, fresh cow pies being thrown out of a moving E-tran bus!
