Hauling in the cash! Elk Grove Mayor Bobbie Singh-Allen raises $53,750 during first half of 2025

If there is one thing, and one thing only, that Elk Grove's directly elected mayors have been proficient at, it is raising campaign cash. The most recent example is Mayor Bobbie Singh-Allen's cash haul during the first six months of 2025.

On her California Form 460 campaign disclosure recorded with the Elk Grove City Clerk, Ms. Singh-Allen received $53,750. With her previous campaign cash, Singh-Allen has $206,361 at her disposal for her 2026 reelection campaign.
  • Among the significant contributions are the following
  • United Association of Journeymen Local 447 Angelo K. Tsakopoulos - $5,900
  • Sofia L. Tsakopoulos Investments - $5,900
  • California Real Estate PAC - $1,000
  • Committee for Home Ownership, North State Building Industry - $1,000
  • Dalla Dental Group - $2,500
  • Fiona Ma for Lt. Governor - $1,000
  • Sally Guttridge $1,000
  • Laborers Local 185 - $500
  • Mikey Hothi for Lodi (Calif.) City Council - $250 Republic Services - $500
  • Richland Planned Communities - $500
  • Sacramento County Supervisor Roasrio Rodriguez - $100
  • Sacramento Area Firefighters Local 522 - $5,900
  • Cosumnes Community Services District Director Angela Spease - $250
  • Sacramento Building Trades Council - $500
  • Tailored Homes, Inc - $5,900
  • Michael Tooley, Tooley Oil Co. - $500

During her 2024 reelection campaign, Singh-Allen faced two challengers who did not raise contributions. Consequently, Singh-Allen was able to preserve a large portion of her campaign funds.

Singh-Allen, along with Elk Grove City Councilmember Darren Suen, has long been rumored to be seeking higher office. Much of this depends on whether Congresswoman Doris Matsui, who occupies a safe Democratic seat, seeks reelection.

Should Ms. Matsui seek reelection in 2026, she will be 82. When Matsui exits, it will set off a political reshuffling of the deck. Singh-Allen and Suen will be part of that reshuffling if they are still in their respective offices.
