New Year's Greeting From Elk Grove Mayor Pat Hume

Happy New Year to you and yours!

I am proud and excited to serve as your Mayor for 2009. Obviously, the year ahead will provide some challenges, but I believe that will compel us to keep an even closer eye on spending and generally improve efficiencies.

We have come a long way in the past two years and with the joining of Council member Detrick, this promises to be the best council yet. Also, the addition of department heads in Development Services to City staff sends a clear message that we continue to strive to be more responsive and responsible as an agency.
