EGPD Stops In-Progress Home Burglary

A would-be burglar was apprehended early last evening by Elk Grove Police as he was coming out the window of the house he just burglarized.

According to Elk Grove Police Department reports, officers responding to an in-progress home burglary on the 9000 block of Camden Drive found 30-year old Arthur Lujan of Sacramento leaving the residence through a side window. Officers detained the suspect and found property from the residence by the window.

The owner of the residence was contacted and indicated the suspect moved out of the house two weeks ago and had no property in the residence. A physical search of the suspect also led to the discovery of narcotics.

Lujan was arrested and transferred to the county jail.
