The City of Elk Grove will hold a public meeting this afternoon to gather input on the city's housing needs.

The city is in the the process of updating its Housing Element, an integral part of the City’s General Plan, which assesses housing needsin ElkGrove and lays out goals and policies for addressing those needs. The city is seeking public input on the Housing Element update to ensure the comprehensive plan maintains, improves and creates housing opportunities for all economic segments of the population.

The City’s current Housing Element can be viewed here. Today's meeting will be held on 4 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 8400 Laguna Palms Way, ElkGrove.

The public can also send comments on the Housing Element to Housing Program Manager Sarah Bontrager, 8401 Laguna Palms Way, ElkGrove, CA 95758 or sbontrager@elkgrovecity.org.
