Elk Grove Police apprehended a man suspected of robbing an Elk Grove convenience story early Tuesday morning.

According to police reports, 47-year old Glenn Roman of Elk Grove entered the AM/PM store on Grantline Road shortly after midnight and confronted two employees. Roman put a bag on the counter, pointed a gun at the employees and demanded money.

After store employees complied, Roman fled the store in a car that employees were able to describe to police. A patrol officer spotted the car on the 9600 block of East Stockton Blvd. and was able to detain the suspect.

After being identified, Roman was arrested and taken to the county jail where he remains in custody on a $50,000 bail.
