Shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday night, what is being reported as a hit-and-run vehicle collision occurred near the intersection of Elk Grove-Florin and Sheldon Roads.
There were at least three severely damaged cars, including one Elk Grove Police patrol unit, observed at the scene. Several ambulances from the Cosumnes Fire Department were seen leaving the accident scene.
