A resident at an Elk Grove residential home care facility is in custody at the county jail after he allegedly attacked an employee Sunday night and caused property damage to the residence where he resides.

According to Elk Grove Police, 26-year old Garrett Stevens became upset with employees at a care facility located on the 410 block of Marseille Court and punched a 59-year old female employee in the chest and threw a walker and kitchen chair at her. Stevens then chased the victim outside and jumped on the roof of another employee's car causing damage.

Once outside, Stevens then pushed the victim to the ground as she tried to get away from him and threatened her. The victim suffered visible injuries as result of the attack.

Responding officers arrested Stevens and he was booked in the county jail where he remains in custody on one misdemeanor and three felony charges with a $50,000 bail. Stevens will be arraigned tomorrow afternoon.
