Elk Grove Man Robbed at Gunpoint By Trio of Suspect as He Arrives Home

December 1, 2016 |

An Elk Grove man was robbed at gunpoint late yesterday afternoon as he was arriving at his residence.

On Tuesday, November 30 as the victim was returning home on the 8500 block of Blackberry Way on Elk Grove's north side, three suspects asked him for assistance with a disabled vehicle. When the victim approached the car, one of the suspects who is known to the victim, pulled out a handgun and pointed it at him.

An unknown second suspect then took the victim’s wallet and the trio fled the area in a red vehicle towards Elk Grove Florin Road. The victim was not injured during the robbery and responding officers were unable to locate the suspects.

The identity of the known suspect was not released.
