10-Year Old Child Eludes Possible Kidnapping in Elk Grove

March 27, 2017 |

A young Elk Grove child walking home from school eluded what could have been a kidnapping yesterday afternoon.

The child, a 10-year old boy, was walking home from school near Vista Brooks Drive and Magnolia Hill Way near Roy Herburger Elementary School in north Elk Grove when he was approached by an unknown vehicle. When the vehicle stopped, a male passenger attempted to lure the child into entering the vehicle.

Not knowing the suspect, the child ran away to a relative's house. The vehicle was described as a two door silver 1990's sedan.

The passenger was described as a black male adult in his 40's, with a goatee, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with black and red shoes.
