Grant Makes Pitch on National Security, Taxes in Recent Online Appeals in California 7th Congressional Race

November 17, 2017 |

In light of heightened tension with North Korea, congressional candidate Andre Grant has emphasized national security and military service in his latest online pitch.

Grant, a Folsom resident and Republican, is one of three candidate to date who have entered the race challenging incumbent Dr. Ami Bera (D - Elk Grove) for California's 7th congressional district. The other challengers are Republican Dr. Yana Barash of Carmichael and Elk Grove Democrat Brad Westmoreland.

On Monday, November 13, Grant posted a video of YouTube, which can be viewed below, titled Honor, Courage Commitment. That video, which has over 11,000 views, highlights Grants military service.

Additionally, Grant re-tweeted  message on Twitter, which is no longer visible, linking viewers to a website that opens up to a survey titled "California Priorities Survey." That survey can be viewed here.

The survey asks readers about national security, the tax code, California water, infrastructure, public education, and the economy. The survey does not asks about healthcare, which Bera and Westmoreland have made a central issue in their respective campaigns.
