An Elk Grove man is being held at the Sacramento County Jail on a $1.55 million bail after being arrested by Elk Grove Police.

On the late morning of Saturday, December 16, Elk Grove Police contacted Anilesh Mohan Prasad, 32, on the 8800 block of Harvest Hill Way regarding a disturbance. Responding officers located a blue Honda which had been reported stolen parking at the residence.

A consent search revealed Prasad allegedly in possession of the car. A records search also showed there was a protective order for a resident of the dwelling, and that Prasad has reportedly burglarized the residence and threatened the victim.

Prasad was booked into the county jail where he is facing one misdemeanor and three felony charges for violation of a protective order, motor vehicle theft, making threats, and burglary. Arraignment is scheduled for Tuesday, December 19.
