Two suspects who are on probation were arrested by Elk Grove Police on suspicion of burglarizing a vehicle.

Shortly after 6 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13, Elk Grove Police officers were dispatched to the 4400 block of Birdseye Way in northwest Laguna after receiving a call regarding an in-progress vehicle burglary. Responding officers located and stopped the vehicle with the suspects.

Police learned that the two occupants, Jovan Richard Jones, 24, of Elk Grove and Michael Fulbright, 45, of Hayward, California were on probation and Fulbright had an active arrest warrant. A probation search allegedly led to the discovery of a controlled substance and property taken from the burglarized car.

Both men were arrested and booked into the county jail where they remain in custody awaiting arraignment on Thursday, February 15.
