June 5, 2018 |

An Elk Grove man is being held at the Sacramento County after being arrested on felony charges including domestic violence and kidnapping.

Just after 5:30 a.m. on Monday, June 4, Elk Grove Police responded to a call for service to a parked car. Officers made contact with Nicolas Reymundo Bacaortega (pictured above) and another occupant of the vehicle.

A record check revealed Bacaortega was on probation. The passenger in the car, reportedly told officers that during an argument, Bacaortega grabbed the victim by the leg and tried to remove the victim forcibly.

The suspect then drove off and refused to stop and let the victim exit. The victim tried unsuccessfully to exit only to be pulled back into the car by Bacaortega.

The suspect is held on two felony and three misdemeanor charges with bail set at $110,000. Arraignment will be on Wednesday, June 6.
