Six-Month Closure, Detour on Poppy Ridge Road in Elk Grove

Information released today shows that a six-month closure and detour will be in effect for a road in Elk Grove.

Starting tomorrow, the City of Elk Grove Public Works Department will begin work on an $18 million extension of Big Horn Boulevard. The construction will extend Big Horn south connecting it with Poppy Ridge Road. 

The closure will be in effect until December 31, 2018. Detour and electronic message signs will be placed in the construction area advising motorist.
