Mugging suspect arrested by Elk Grove Police, held on $580,000 bail

An Elk Grove man is being held at the Sacramento County Jail on a bail of $580,000 after being arrested by police officers.

Just before 11 p.m. on Thursday, August 17, Chase Hunt (pictured above), 28, approached a person on the 8600 block of Elk Grove Boulevard. Hunt asked the person for money, and when the victim said they did not have any, he knocked the victim to the ground causing the victim to hit his head.

Hunt fled the area but was later located by responding police officers. The suspect is charged with felony battery and will be arraigned on Monday, August 20.
