Ly campaign channels Cambell Ewald, sells Americana in latest mailer

If nothing else can be said about the brain trust devising mailers for Elk Grove mayoral candidate Steve Ly, is they have explored different avenues. This week Elk Grove voters saw two examples of this exploration.

The first unique piece to arrive was the so-called Love mailer where Ly and his Team Elk Grove evoked the spirit and image of civil rights icon Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The second one in a sense takes a political turn to the right and wraps Ly in a bit of Americana.

While it is unlikely Ly or most of his running mates are familiar with it, perhaps someone in the campaign has reached back in time and appropriated some of the mid-1970s creative work of Cambell Ewald.
