Gunfire between two cars in Elk Grove road rage incident



Two motorist started the new year in Elk Grove by involving themselves in a road rage incident that led to gunfire.

Just before 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 1 two motorist where involved in an argument in their vehicles near Calvine Road and Merryhill Way on the city's north side. As one motorist passed the other vehicle, that motorist displayed a firearm.

As the motorist displayed the gun, the other slowed their vehicle as a shot was fired. The round did not hit anything and there were no injuries.

The gun toting suspect fled in his vehicle, described as white older 2-door BMW, northbound on Kingsbridge Drive. The suspect was described as a Hispanic adult male, wearing a blue hoodie.
