South Sacramento murder suspect, accomplice sought by Sac Sherriff's Department

The Sacramento Sheriff's Department has released information and photographs of a man suspected in a mid-April murder in South Sacramento.

The suspect has been identified as Joshua Thomas Vaden, 30, of Sacramento. Vaden, who is a parolee has an active murder arrest warrant and is wanted for an April 14 homicide of a male victim on the 7000 block of Peevey Circle.

Detectives are also seeking an unknown accomplice who they believe was with Vaden. Their vehicle has been identified as a gray 2017 Ford Fiesta with Illinois plate AM73381.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of the suspect or identity of the person of interest or victim vehicle is urged to contact the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office at (916) 874-5115 or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at (916) 443-HELP.
