Run For Hunger traffic advisory in effect this weekend

The City of Elk Grove will implement temporary traffic controls along streets near Elk Grove Regional Park on Saturday, June 22 for the 15th annual Elk Grove Run 4 Hunger hosted by Elk Grove Food Bank Services. This event includes 5K and 10K running events starting and finishing inside Elk Grove Regional Park.
 
Traffic Delays & Detours: A traffic plan has been created and road closures and detours will be in effect from approximately 6:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
 
East Stockton Boulevard will be closed in both directions between Elk Grove-Florin Road and Valley Oak Lane.
 
Partial lane closures will be implemented on eastbound Valley Oak Lane and southbound Elk-Grove-Florin Road
 
Westbound Valley Oak Lane and northbound Elk Grove Florin Road will remain open.
 
Alternative Routes: Motorists attempting to travel to destinations north or south should use Waterman Road or West Stockton Boulevard during the closure.
