Rep. Ami Bera to vote for the impeachment of Trump

In a series of messages posted this morning, Rep. Ami Bera (D - Elk Grove, Calif.) announced he will vote yes to impeach President Donald Trump.
Bera represents Elk Grove as the representative for California's Seventh U.S. Congressional District. The district, which also includes Rancho Cordova, Folsom, and large swaths of unincorporated Sacramento County has been considered a swing district for the last six election cycles.
Bera announced his decision on Twitter this morning.
After careful consideration and review of the facts, I have decided to vote yes on both articles of impeachment: abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.— Ami Bera, M.D. (@RepBera) December 17, 2019

While most of the replies have been supportive of Bera's decision, there have been a few in opposition.

A date for the vote in Congress has not been scheduled, but the historic event is expected by the end of this week. The vote will fall along party lines and needs a simple majority before it is sent to the U.S. Senate for the impeachment trial.
