Hit and run driver arrested by Elk Grove Police also suspected of impaired driving

An early morning hit and run suspect was arrested after he was found to have an outstanding are warrant and was allegedly impaired.
At 2:20 a.m on Monday, May 4, a vehicle operated by Jesse Mario Acevedo, 31, of Sacramento was involved in a collision with another vehicle near Big Horm Boulevard and Franklin Boulevard. The occupants of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries.
Acevedo fled the area and responding Elk Grove Police officers located and detained him. The suspect was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant and displayed signs of impairment.
After being booked into the county jail, Acevedo was released.
