Elk Grove lands on elite list of best places for families

Today Elk Grove was listed as one of the best places in California and America for families.  

The list compiled by Relo Guide, the list identifies the two best cities in each state that they consider an ideal place for families. For California, the cities are Elk Grove and the San Diego County city of Chula Vista. 

In their description of Elk Grove, Relo said:

Away from the coastal towns most people associate with California are the beautiful suburbs of Sacramento.

Elk Grove in particular boasts parks, restaurants, and a historic district that will keep both parents and kids happy. The schools are great, particular in the southwest corner, zip code 95757. 

The town also continues to grow as more and more people find out about the charms of inland life in California.

Along with listing its list of the 100 best communities for families, Relo also has a "find your place" locator guide. In this guide, users can fill out several categories to help identify communities suitable for relocation. 

Among the qualities listed as favorable for families are Elk Grove's weather, housing costs, quality of schools and political climate which is listed as liberal. The one negative was the monthly rental costs of a one-bedroom apartment which is said to be $1,908.

Interestingly, it lists one zip code, 95757, as the ideal location within the city.
