Rosario Rodriguez wins Sacramento County Board of Supervisors District 4 race

With yesterday's voting results, Folsom City Councilmember Rosario Rodriguez can start measuring for new drapes for her office in the Sacramento County Administration Building. Yesterday's tallies showed Rodriguez with 51 percent of the popular vote in the race for Sacramento County Supervisors District 4 race.

With 51 percent for 33,426 votes, Rodriguez won the seat currently occupied by fellow Republican Sue Frost, who decided against seeking another term. Rodriguez topped Citrus Height Republican City Councilmember Bret Daniel, who earned 17,068 votes for 26 percent, and Democrat Brandon Murphy, who captured 14,450 votes for 22 percent.

With the 51 percent margin, Rodriguez won the seat and will not have to appear on the November ballot. Rodriguez will take office early next year.
