Winco evacuated after bomb threat

The Winco Food store on Sheldon Road in Elk Grove was evacuated early this morning following a bomb threat.

According to the Elk Grove Police watch summary, the threat was phoned in during the early hours of Thursday, April 17. The unidentified caller said the bomb would detonate within 45 minutes.

The store manager evacuated employees and customers and Elk Grove Policed cordoned off the area. No suspicious package or items were found after the investigation and the store was later reopened.
