Elk Grove streets quiet over recent weekend

Calm before three day holiday?

For the 72-hour weekend period ending at midnight last night, the streets of Elk Grove experienced relative calm.

On Friday, there were no major incidents logged. On Saturday, there were arrests for an outstanding warrant and domestic violence.

For Sunday, there were three arrests, one of which was a handgun crime. The others were for shoplifting and an oustanding warrant.

The handgun incident occurred in the 9500 block of Blue Thistle Way when two unidentified black male adults brandished a handgun at a victim and demanded his property and cell phone. The suspects fled and officers were unable to locate them.
