Elk Grove Flapjack Forum - The perfect opportunity for a photo-op

Leary, Scherman exploit taxpayer sponsored event for political gain





The City of Elk Grove sponsored a flapjack forum on the morning of Saturday, July 26 at city hall. The event was meant to provide an informal forum for Elk Grove citizens to interact with elected official and civil servants.

Unfortunately the event was poorly promoted (on purpose?) and few of Elk Grove's 125,000 plus citizens showed up. But not all was lost.

The taxpayer sponsored event proved to be a great photo-op for Elk Grove City Council members and candidates Mike Leary and Sophia Scherman. Hey, one out of two ain't bad!

Of course after the photo-op was complete, about a minute later, Leary and Scherman both abandoned their chores.

What a great way to get some free political advertising on the backs of taxpayers!
